1938 Buick Road Master Y-JOB Tribute Convertible - First Concept Car Ever Made
This striking example of automotive sculptural art was a passion project of man who fell in love with the one and only 1938 Y-Job. The Y-Job created under the guidance of Harley Earl (General Motors Chief of Design) is reputed to be the first concept car ever made. Revolutionary in design, it forecasted many features that shaped GM vehicles for many years after. This car pictured here is the only known faithful tribute / replica / clone of the Y-Job in existence. Custom crafted sheet-metal construction with a modern drivetrain was created at great expense; this two-seater convertible is over 18 feet in length.
